what do you AZ'ers recommend in sway bar sizes. i have an 05.5 FWD. I was thinking to just go with H&R front & rear.
Brand and Sizes:
H&R
- Front: 32mm
- Rear: 20mm
Hotchicks
- Front: 35mm, tubular front bar
Neuspeed
- Rear: 21mm

Not sure what to look for, am a noob to modding.[headbang]

Help me out,Thanx! [:D]

No need to change front... Go with OEM RS4 rear(22mm)

If you really want to improve handling, you should also get h&r springs/bilstein hocks combo (http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_detail.cfm?PMaI=1&PMoI=35&PEI=25&PP=b7_a4_20t_suspension.cfm&PPT=Suspension&IL=HRBilsteinCombob6)

Go with the Hotchkis S4 all around. Well worth the improvement.

I drove my car with sport suspension and the rear RS4 sway bar for about a month. The sway bar did help reduce some understeer, but it didn't make the car handle supurbly by any means. However, the sway bar coupled with coilovers and stickier summer tires (not the shitty p6 all seasons) makes a big difference and makes me wish our cars came with side bolsters!

I got the H&R front and rear. It made a big difference in my car, since I had the non-sline sways on there before. I set the rear to stiff and the front to soft, after checking how FWD cars usually set their sways. If the front is too stiff, it'll understeer. So far, so good. I don't track it, by any means, but the car feels a lot sportier and has better turn in now. It really allows you to take advantage of the lower stance and better springs and struts. The body roll used to scare the crap out of me, so glad it's gone.

As for the necessity of the front bar, I don't really think you need it. I ordered the set without doing enough initial research, 'cause I was ordering some parts from ECS and just added these on. Most say you don't need it and I didn't drive the car with just the upgraded rear, so I don't know how much it's done for my car. I will say that the new front bar is way heavier than the hollow stock bar. It's a bit thicker, but the density is where it's at.

In the end, I have no complaints, since it wasn't too expensive, you can put them both in on your own, and the car feels better.

So in other words, just a rear sway will do? Got it.
Yea, i hate the fact that i got a FWD.

Now, what size would be the best?
What roll do the sizes play in the effectiveness of the sway bar?

hey man, dont fret over getting a FWD. I have one and love the hell out of it. Its a Audi, part of the VAG and great car no matter what.

but as far as sway bar, just get the RS4 rear sway bar. I got mine with the RS4 brackets and bushings as well. I could not be happier. Great upgrade and well worth it. I would suggest getting the RS4 brackets with it seeing that if you stick with the stock brackets, its one hell of a pain in the ass install. But thats just my opinion. [up]

Yeah, RS4 bar can't be beat at the price, just make sure you get the brackets and bushings.

Thanks a lot guys.
Will i need sway bar links?

Yea, I love my car. I Love my audi. I just really wanted a quattro but was only able to get my hands on my FWD. An Audi is always better than NO Audi.

You don't need endlinks, it bolts right up. There are the two brackets that hold it on and the bushings that go with those. Try to find a DIY, it shows all the necessary parts.
