alright how many people have problems with CV joints around 70K miles. im in iraq right now but my wife is driving my 2.7 and says the CV joints sound like they are going. she said its only at low speeds turning... any advice?

Mine were replaced by the P.O. at 90K. If you have caught it early enough, a repack with grease and new boots might get you by, labor will be the same as replacing them though. I would avoid the dealership for everything except very specialized jobs, a reputable mechanic could do this job for much less with OEM (GKN) joints bought from any parts house.

I brought my car to a mechanic and he replaced the CV boot for me. Completely avoided the dealer.

She's probably right -- normal 75K+ maintenance. Where did you find this girl?

Dealer will charge you $400+. Most Indy shops will be around $150-200.

DO NOT take that shit anywhere near a Jacksonville, NC auto shop. Cmon now the only thing you can do right in Jville is eat at one of the 5 million restaurants. If she can take a drive I would take it to Wilmington or Raleigh. Or just some shop that is not in Jville. New Bern, etc...

Stay safe.
