My front bumper got f'd up yesterday, needs to be replaced. The body shop is quoting $309 just for the part to replace my bumper. Anyone know what a new S4 bumper would run? Where can you even get a new S4 bumper these days? In replacing the A4 bumper, would the S4 bumper just fit on there exactly, including the headlight washer slots and foglights and everything? Is the S4 bumper one piece, as opposed to the A4 bumper and lower valence? Just trying to get my hands around the overall cost differential.

too bad you missed out on Brook's santorin real RS4 bumper! [:(]

oh well.... the S4 bumper from the dealer will cost you $300+ plus the grills and that's just the bumper skin (unpainted). you will have to reuse the aluminum support from your A4 bumper and everything should fit perfectly. the washers are attached to the aluminum support.

most people used rivets to attach the bumper skin to the aluminum support, but i used self tapping screws and lots of them... rivets tend to losen in time.

let me know if you need a hand.

i know this post is older than dirt, but i thought they just glued the bumper support to the new skin?

nope, you have to rivet it back the same way.... i did mine with self tapping screw... works better then rivets in the long run

wrong dude...if u buy an S4 bumper from the dealer it includes the reinforcement bar so its just a simple bolt on.

all very interesting... does this apply to the rear bumpers too? I kinda like the stock front bumper, at least enough not to warrant a swap. but I LOVE the S4 rear bumper (for the Avant's at least) and have been thinking of doing a swap.

not sure about the avants.. but the sedan s4 bumper is the same as the a4 with a smooth, painted lower..

I dnot see why the s4 rear wouldnt bolt up though.. they are the same bodies..

true, I'll have to look into this. I'm pretty sure the Avant rear bumpers are different. maybe its the Euro S4 bumper thats different... can the euro bumpers be purchased through AoA if i have a part number?

it's a simple bolt on with no modification required.

bumper 400
grills 60-70
center licence plate cover 50

a4 fogs wont work ut you can sell those for about 200 and buy the s4 ones for the same price.

I did first get quoted $46.95 mistakenly...that was for the plate holder..not the cover..
