the ontario P.D took my car away!!!!!!

i got pulled over for driving "pretty' fast and cutting somebody off and not signaling while turning, and that somebody turned out to be an off duty police sargeant, who then reported me to one of his officers. they towed and impound my car away for having a NY driver license after living in california for more than 30 days, he told me that my car will be on holding for 30 days, and to get it out it'll cost me arround $1000 at least and i'd have to transfer my license to california DL!!!
damn i wish i could rewind this day.....

Yo.... I'm from the area formerly known as the 909.. All be it I'm from Corona. I can't speak much about the City of Onterio or other Cities in the I.E., as for Corona, we are one of the most diversifed communities in all of SoCal. You should chill out about labling communities, you may offend sombody.... [:(]

as for my bad experience.. i went to this concert called the projekt revolution tour.

i went to see linkin park one of my most FAVORITE BANDS and it was the WORST experience of my life...

mang it was horrible. and i really attribute it to the people who were at the concert. there WERE a lot of skin heads and a lot of redneck "LOOKING" people...

maybe you're right... maybe i dont even know them... but DAYAM i was just walking to get a soda and all these skinheads were MADDOGGIN like crazy and i was seriously scared...

and it just felt like the racism was so THICK in the air you had to swim through it to get anywhere...

I can relate to the out of state registration problem, sucks that they were so agressive in enforcing it. I was pulled over with oregon plates on my old car and (even though I was a student paying out of state tuition) the cop wrote me a fix-it ticket. it was a pain in the ass but nothing like impounding... that 30 day time limit is nonsense! appointments at any DMV are like 45 days out!!! but don't even get me started on the DM (f...ing)V! [;)]

Sounds like you consider him guilty until proven innocent. If he was drive driving superfast and cutting people off then yes, I agree that he should get a ticket, but impounding the car for no Calif. license is pretty severe. As for making a turn with out signaling, that is just being pissy, just like the Santa Barbara cops and CHP at norcal/socal meet.

I think we need a few more details before we get too judgemental about the people responding to the post.

i wasn't going too fast arround 30's, it was in a back of a shopping area..i was going straight and this off duty cop was making a turn into my way, but i didn't really see him so i kept on going and he had to stop and give me the way...and for not signaling, i guess it was my fault but, i was in a stop light in a left turn only lane, but whatever...it's been done and can't be undone so i guess imma have to bite the bullet...i guess i am lucky to get away with an "unsave turning movement" and a "driver license not valid" or some sh!t like that, but damn man 30 days holding for that?? that is kinda Bullsh!T..it's not like i'm driving on a suspended license or anything like that...my license is valid it's just an out of state license...and please just end this finger pointing and name calling...it hurts me enough to lose my car for 30 days, and i was only letting you guys know what happened.

None of us but WhippeD was there , so it is impossible to know the severity of the infraction, but getting your car jacked for 30 days, plus $1000 in fees, plus the cost of the ticket seems excessive. The punishment must fit the crime.

my friend got pulled over for having a colorado liscense and the cop told him he had to change his liscense to ca before he takes traffic school, he just got a speeding ticket though, no impound...

If you got pulled over before, and were aware that you needed to change, then It probably is reasonible to impound the car. Bummer, this time i hope you get everything straight before you head out on the road again. There is not point in being mad at the cops, you should be mad at yourself for not getting your act together[;)]

i never knew i HAD TO signal, the booklet said it was recommended . . . damn, this is a trajedy, all this money for some sick driving. i swear, uptight red neck sheriff and non LAPD officials, they suck male sex organ. i got a ticket for rolling a right at 15 mph thru a stop sign. the guy gave me a ticket for 182 and thought i stole my car . . . . idiot. i mean personally, the only cop i respect is my dad, every other one is a low life loser who in one or another was bullied before he joined the job. now most cops have lots of shit in their pitiful lives. i dno, i shouldnt jump on them, but anyways, 909 has its ups and downs like any place, my cousin lives over there and some areas can get crazy . . . . . .
