once you get one, you'll want the other.... My guess is you'll appreciate the engine chip more though

Dahlback makes programing for the tiptronic tranny...I would give that a try

actually, id get the tip chip first.... it will prepare your tranny for the engine chip...

faster and smoother shifts in a auto tranny, means less wear on the tranny

i c.. Thanks for your opinions but still 50/50 on the opinions i guess,
so, if i put both chips at the same time will the tranny adjust fine?
or i need a time gap after i put tip chip

no, no adjustment, but if i had an auto, id do the tip chip first, because and slack the engine chip causes is irreversable....

Yeah, I'd probably do engine chip first. Much more noticeable, IMO.

In case you were looking, I still have a chipped trans ECU I'm looking to get rid of. Email or PM me.

engine chip will be more noticeable, but id still rather get the tip chip first for the sake of your tranny

eh? won't be any worse for your car by not having the tip chip. it just shifts faster and goes to redline before it upshifts IIRC (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

but faster shifts are better for the transmission...

I don't know much about auto trannies past but I'm not sure if I agree with that. Even so, I can't imagine it's that signifigant a difference in wear.

Get the engine chip. your tranny will be fine.

Your transmission should be just fine without the Tip Chip, engine chip or not. It just lessens the time in-between shifts and raises the redline.

guess i'll get a tip chip in the future, raising the redline should make it even faster though heh.

Or make it slow for longer [;)] . Comeon, chip it, you know you want to...

hah, but if i can only afford 1 for now =P, i think the best bet is the giac for now, tip later.
