So i bolted up my 19" RS4 to my B6 1.8T Avant and now the car handles/drives like poop. I am at stock ride height as spring have not arrived yet. Think they will solve this problem?
All help is appreciated [drive]

What size wheels/tires did you start with? what size tires are you running on your 19s?
Are you currently on sport suspension, or non-sport?

hello, what air pressures do you have set?? check your tires and you may need to play with it to get the feel right. most tire shops don't understand the tires are essentially springs and too much air makes them bricks and not enough air causes the centers to not have enough force on the the ground. when you're done checking it out you'll find that you have about a 3-4lb swing from good to bad..... good luck

currently running the non-sport suspension. The tires are 245/35 if I remember correctly. Adjusted all the air to 35lbs last night. I am thinking it is the springs and sways.

assuming the wheels are round, tires are of reasonable quality and the wheels + tires are balanced properly..
you probably added so much weight in wheels/tires that you're feeling how much less happy the suspension is with the added weight hung off the end of the a arms. you will notice a difference with just a few lbs change at the end of the suspension arm.
better suspension will help mask the symptom, but better suspension AND good, light wheels and sticky tires will be very, very good. our forged rs147's are 19lbs for a 19" wheel but they're 1200each. you pay what you get for.

I hear you Jim. On the MKV I am running RH crossline splits with PSS10s. Picked this up to be my DD and my wife would shoot me if I made this another project.

mkv sounds hawt. check the basics are sound but you may wanna think about some lighter wheels - nothing too major, oz's are 2-300 each new from TR and they're great - light and strong.
on one of our race cars, we changed from our forged race wheels to a cheaper 'forged' wheel to save a few $ and immediately saw a 1-2 second reduction in lap times. couldn't figure why, until we put the original wheels back on. the cheaper wheel was deflecting so much under load it wasn't able to keep as much contact patch on the ground. yikes.

Quite sure u meant an "increase" in lap times but we know what u mean. That must be some serious cornering to bend the rim... damn[race]

yes thanks! damn lisdexia! ;-)
what's amazing is how lighter is not always better, strength is absolutely critical and the challenge is to find a wheel that is strong and light. not all forged wheels are created equally. like anything, i suppose..
