intrax super sport springs. im not sure if they are really that low but the buyer said he belives that they are but not 100% sure.
accually just looked on the website and they are 2 1/4 in front and 2" in rear. i think that would look good. would that be dipping into the wheel wells and if so how much?

the h&r race will only give you 1.9 drop in front and 1.5 in rear, i think the intrax will give you a little more drop, but yes from what i heard those spring are pretty bouncy.....maybe if you get an adjustable damping shocks it will help...MAYBE...

no no no dont cut em!!!....it's not build to be cut..i'm in a "technical" school now, and i've asked my suspension instuctor about cutting springs, and he just laughed at me and said..."you cheap bastard"..you just don't do it...it's not a proper way to lower your car..it's just going to lose the specified spring rate and whatnot...get H&R race...i think it has a perfect drop with a perfect spring rate...
why dont you sell your eibach on ebay..and buy yourself a set of H&R race...

You want a messed up ride... cut them. HA! you're worried about bounce. Wait till you see the retarded rebound on a cut spring. One bump and the car will bounce up and down like it has hydraulics. Don't be stupid.

while you are cutting down your springs....
why dont you cut down the shocks as well to match it. god forbid spring and shock companies dont know what they are doing and you know better then they do for cutting them down.

You know what.... you can also cut your brake rotor in half because you dont need that much surface area to stop a car.

Skene... you are one strong individual. I know these posts are killing you - you so badly want to just rip him a new one. But you are indeed a changed man... at least on AZ. Kudos!!

Actually you can cut them in half and double them up...j/k man, don't do it. Just get yourself some race springs and some bilsteins with the adjustable perch settings. That way you can dial in the ride hide you want to a certain degree. Better to do it right the first time...

I think there is a set for sale in the classifieds...

i'll be installing them this weekend. If you want to be safe, go with the Neuspeed Race, or H&R Race. They will give you the drop you want. I got the springs with the shocks for a killer deal, so i figure i'd try them out. We'll see, i'm use to bouncy suspension anyway.

i have never heard anything positive about intrax springs then i bought my car and the previous owner had put them in and its the best ride i've ever had in any of my dropped cars. I previously had H&R on my Jetta and Weitec coilovers on my GTI and the Intrax i can't complain about, i mean its different for different people. Just my .02 good luck Derek.

You honestly have no idea what modding our cars is all about. Cut the springs? Time and time again you just don't get it. I'm sure you don't have shocks to go with the springs either. If you don't have the $$$ to do it the right way, just don't bother and drive a stock car. That's what other members do.

You lower it that much and you'll have a new name for your car in Utah - Snowplow. Enjoy! :)
