does the drain plug look like this? mine is stripped and stuck so I have to bring it to a shop to take it off. But before I purchase this one I want to make sure its the right one. Dealer is charging me 18 buck for it. TIA

I would call the dealer and ask for specs first.
that way you eliminate the guessing game.

Yeah, I believe my mechanic's parts department told me there were 2 different "sizes" on the A4. Gotta get the right threading.

If the shop is going to charge you to take it out, I wouldn't do it. I don't know how much they would charge, but I would just take it out with an "easy out" tool. All you have to do is drill a small hole in your drain plug, and thread the "easy out" in (it threads backwards.) It will get tighter and then you just keep turning and the bolt loosens and comes out with it. Anyway, just my .02
