Hello guys
It is time to buy tires. I've searched around, done my research on the zine and i can't find anybody that has used them before.
They will be used on an 235/35/r19 VMR710 rim in the summer months only and maybe into the fall a little bit.
I want a tire that is relatively quiet and strong - something that DOES NOT feather and then makes that bub bub bub noise when you drive even after rotating it every 3000 miles on the dot. BTW i am not trying to spend a F%$K load of money on tires, and i think these will be pretty good. I have considered Falken 452's also. Thanks in advance [wrench][:)]
Tirerack reviews are positive:

Subscribed, 155 is about the same price for the 452s so it's whatever you want. See what the warranty is with both.

My STi has 20k+ on a set of HTR+.
During a Colorado, Subaru only track day last August, I beat on them! 40+ laps at threshold braking and max cornering. They still have 1.5-2.0mm remaining to the TWI.
An oldschool CO DSM member, used to use the ZII's on his track prepped 500+whp Stealth R/T. I believe that car holds the true lap record for the now defunct Second Creek Raceway here in Denver.
I can only imagine how good the Z3's will be for you.
Fantastic tire manufacturer.

Im running HTR Z3s (235/40/18), excellent tire, and for the price - theres nothing that can compare. Look at the specs, the compare to tires almost double the price...When these tires get hot, they can grip all day. Very quiet, comfortable ride on the streets/hwy & the nice side walls are pretty rigid for the most part. Sumitomo is actually the largest rubber company in Japan, but not to big in car tires as there just breaking through. I highly recommend these tires, theres no tire that competes with them in their price range...love them and would buy again without thinking. The only thing their lacking is the "name" behind it, you just gota forget that PS2 propaganda. Also, Doc@Tirerack highly recommends them (who I bought them from) and tires are his business.

Thank you for the positive feedback - i will purchase these tires.
Funny thing is is that Tirerack has them for 155 a piece and National Tire and Battery just tried to charge me 259 a piece for the same exact tires.
hahah hell yea tirerack!!
Thanks guys!

my brother has them on his Z4m coupe and hates them. Not the best tire according to him. I would stay away from them IMO.

^^^That's odd. It seems that so many people like them. Plus a Z4 is a very different car from an A4 - hopefully i will have better luck. Why does he hate them anyways? short life? noise? crappy grip?

My friend has them on his A3. For a cheap tire, you can't beat their traction, but they aren't very durable. He's blown two of them already.

well it may have something to do with my brother being a car nut and is used to PS2s and high end tires. He wanted to save some money for his everyday driving tires and thought they would be good. Apparently his first set one tire had a belt that was broken (dont ask how) manu defect. Now with all the tires fix'ed they are telling him that the tires take too much weight to balance the tire properly (not sure why) and BMW told him they are not an approved tire for his car so they will not even balance them - so in essence he has a minor vibration in the wheel at about 70-80 miles an hour (and up for that matter). Not sure if its the car or the tire - but my gut is its the tires.
He just put this summers on (prematurely IMO) but i want to see how the car is now (he has the pilot sports on the summers) if the car handles fine it is def the tires on the his winter/daily driver wheels.

Of course BMW is going to say that can't touch them. Your brother didn't get them from them. If they can get him to throw those away and buy tires from them why not?
