I like my V1s because they are more on the sporty side than most Cos.

I have V2, love the ride and handling, imo it's not bouncy, it's stiff but also gives a bit of comfort. I combo it w/ the H-sport sway bars, performs really well on sharp corners

does it matter if a set of V2 coilovers coming off a B7 2.0T quattro wagon are put onto a B7 2.0t quattro sedan?

I have KW V3's + Hotchkis RS4 front and rear sways.
It's a very solid setup, you can breeze through corners without much difficulty at all. But I will add that if you lower your car too much (without knowing what you're doing), the ability of quattro to perform weight transfer through a turn is noticeably compromised. I plan to get corner balanced in a few weeks as I'm waiting to put on my new wheel + tire setup first.
And for those of you that are concerned about ride quality... The KW's are able to absorb small road imperfections better than the red OEM sport struts. Although with larger bumps and dips you would feel it a lot more. For those of you that want decent handling just settle with the KW V3's and an OEM RS4 rear sway. I don't recommend the Hotchkis RS4 sways for those with the faint of heart and without enough skill to "feel" their car's handling ability as this does make your car's response to steering input much sharper.
But those of you with sensitive butts... I don't recommend the V3's for you.

KW doesn't run low at all....i run the rear to the lowest point...it's only 24.75" from ground to fender, front i dropped it to 24.75" also...looks pretty good to me but not slammed...if u are looking for a slammed look get FK instead

I am riding RS4 rear sway and Stasis SS coilovers, ride is very close to oem but just a little stiffer. Im dropped 2.5 inches lower than stock and they come with a warranty!

I've been lurking for a while researching and learning a lot. I have an 08 A4 2.0 Avant, manual, S-Line, quartz grey.
I just got my rims put on (19" VMR RS4 Reps) and am am trying to get coilovers sorted out.
I'm in Vancouver, B.C. and the salt and crap in the winters will be an issue that why i want the Stainless Steel KW's. I was looking at the V1's cause I will probably never adjust the dampening (I'm a bit lazy that way).
I have a few questions,
-Can anyone recommend a place to buy them from ?
-Sounds like the ride quality is good just a bit stiffer than stoc S-Line is this about right.
-The adjustability shown is about 1.4-2.5" front and back. Is this based on the stock ride height ? and if so am correct in remembering that the S-line suspension is roughly 1" lower than the stock ? cause I would not want to be 1.4" lower than the S-Line ride height , especially in the rear.
-Anyone have experienec with the KW street comfort coilovers ?
Thanks Guys

I installed my KW V1 about 2 weeks ago and best coilovers I ever had. The quality ride is perfect and performance way better than stock.

^x2. I'm in the same boat here, as I will probably only want height adjustment, not dampening. Winter durability in the salty northeast is also a concern, so I'm now thinking KW's are the way to go.
BTW, the 1.4-2.5" height drop is indeed from stock, not from the S-Line with Sport suspension.
The best price I've seen is $1345 from KMD Tuning: http://www.kmdtuning.com/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=1687
Still looking...
EDIT: There's also a thread over in Group Buys. I've asked for pricing but no reply yet.

Okay, I found a better deal: http://www.jkcracing.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=236&products_id=14164.
The price there is listed as $1,237.99.
Also, my previous post had the wrong part number, which was 10210027. This is for FWD. The right number for a B6/B7 Quattro, per KW's website application guide, is 10210029.

I have been running on V1s for about 3 years now. Great stuff especially with my customized widebody and 19' rims. Lately, I noticed that my rear wheels are beginning to rub the inside fenders when going through speed bumps or uneven (wavery) roads. It gets worst if I have passengers in the car.
My question is this : My V1s are probably worn out or something (my mechanic said they are fine coz he did not notice any oil leakage or unusual stuff). So, if I decide to replace them, should I go for V2 or V3 for better probability of no further rubbing? I know there could be other reasons causing the wheels to rub, BUT just want to know if upgrading from V1 to V2/V3 helps in reducing the rubbing? thanks [:|]
