Actually just looked in my manual and it says it will illuminate whn the key is turned for safety purposes then go out--- but doesn't light up at all-- so I don't think I have it-

anyone?

I could be wrong but I thought there would also be a TPMS button to the left of the hazard button above the radio. I believe the button is used to calibrate the pressure? I don't have TPMS but thought I saw that in the manual somewhere.

I have TPMS on my car -- 2005.5 A4 Premium Plus (don't know if that makes a difference). Owner's Manual also speaks of it.

If you have TPMS you will have the wide valve stems with the metal collars.

Make one tire flat and see if your car yells at you! the DIS will yell and you will know if you have tpms!!

Besides your valve stems you will have a menu for it in your trip computer screen.

If you have a rubber wiggly valve stem then its not a TPMS sensor :)

I didnt even know I had it until I had low pressure last fall. Needless to say, mine doesnt have a button for calibrating the tire pressure like my BMW had, and that right there I found very annoying. Needless to say the car magazines had it right when they called the TPMS "the king of the false alarms"

yea I think it is only reliable for knowing if your tire is extremely low. I think the best way is use a good tire pressure monitor by hand. TPMS is a great feature to have because it will notify you of a leaky tire or a flat. I just don't trust the measurments it gives you (im speaking of BMWs and Porsches those are the only 2 I have used which give measurements)
