Ok, So this has been bothering me forever...and i need to say somthing.
Why do people keep putting the deval front bumper on thier cars?
They have a nice look and Rs4 Style or whatever
but....
they dont fit
the colors dont match
they dont look right with the rest of the car/body lines
and they dont look good at all in general on the car...
so what am I missing?[confused]
By the way, before you all lose it and flip a lid on me, im not bashing those who own this part, becuase I do like it...it just doesnt seem to work right and people just slap it on there and dont seem to let it bother them?

I dont think I have seen one either, besides Quattro's (which I think helps becuase its black) that fits correctly and the paint matches, not that its the same color but different plastics would show paint slightly differently. I dont get it either?!? I was originally in the market for one, then kept seeing people put them on there cars and laughing how bad they look. Besides OEM, and maybe ABT I dont think "I" would put anything else on an audi.

^^ty, ABT FTW! haha
i think some paints are harder to match or are not prep'd right, for the price I paid to get my stuff painted, it better come out nice =D

Because it can look really good if done correctly, for example:

The bumper looks good from far away. It is only up close that you can see its problems. Some people can live with that. Paint is something that is up to the place that does it. If they blend the bumper in correctly, it should look fine.

I think it's to do with where the original RS4 bumper was scaled down at the arches to fit the A4 when they were developing it - it looks a bit chunky where the bumper lines up with the wing.
The reason why the paint almost always looks wrong is because of the fitment and how it catches the light. The Deval usually looks a little bowed out which puts it on a different angle than the body panels of the car.

Well as a current owner with not so perfect paint match I can somewhat agree. I went the wrong route and tried to squeeze the "renovation" in with a budget of insurance money. Paint is very important on these because of the way the bumper catches light at the edges especially. It's not an OEM fit, but I was somewhat impressed with the fit for what it was. With a little adjusting it should fit fine and look good. My paint doesn't match and it's not adjusted perfectly, but I still walk out and say "god damn that looks nice" most of the time. I tried to get it painted with a deal that was going on here combined with Eurogear and would not take anything back to that shop. As long as you have a reputable shop do the work, it should come out like the red one linked above. The problem is that most of the people here, including myself on this occasion, try to get it done on a budget and you get what you pay for.
