Who's replaced their own clutch on a B5 A4? Did you really have to remove the Transmission? Cause thats what my Bently is telling me...

Every car with a clutch requires you to separate the tranny from the engine. You only have a few inches of distance and then the tranny comes down, there's no way around it.

I did mine this summer. It sucked in a major way. If you've done other AWD clutch jobs, it will piss you off. The axles, slave cylinder and exhaust are a pain in the ass to remove. If you can get someone to let you use a lift, do it.
