I've seen it done once that looked ok, BUT I saw a guy use the front plate as a scoop to push more air over his FMIC. It just depends on the location and angle you can get away with. The car I saw it on had plenty of room to tuck the plate in the front air dam, where we don't really have room without a Reiger/RS4 bumper.

Same spot for me... I have a good size bolt under the bumper I attach a diy bracket to. When I show, I undo it a bit and the plate slides off.

looks better in the middle.

Its not blocking enough of the cooler to do any harm.

Yeah, I hate having it period :) We're one of the provinces that run it though, pfft.

I am doing some simple front end stuff, I think the plate should move... Jared, why do guys cutout plastic slits and simple bumper elements for 'flow'... but you say the plate won't block much? I'm legitimately asking... I guess I have never looked into that before... you say it's fine in the middle?

I think the best diy plate mod I have seen is the rare earth magnet and epoxy technique. I'd love to be able to just pull it off....

I had cut the plate on my old car years back... cut the top and bottom portion off, kinda looked like a mini euro plate... got pulled over for it and the cop said its destruction of government property... being the plates are "owned by the state"... eventhough we pay a fee of $15 to get the plates when registering the car.

And the plate isnt placed directly on the cooler... so I dont think its making any difference... there is space between the plate and cooler so air will still flow around the plate.

It's a B6 thread (http://audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1184880#post1184880)

Looking again, I definitely want to do this.
