i think they would look clean. I feel you need darker tint though to really match them.

and btw, you really do look like a flamer. j/k :)

yeah i plan on trying to get my coilover unfrozen soon so i can drop maybe another half inch.

I also plan on a 35% tint on all windows

Jumbo: i love those wheels but not too sure how it would go over with unpainted lowers... ill try it now

When you do get em unfrozen, my old mechanic suggested that you clean ALL those threads as well as you can. Then lather them with never-seize and wrap the coil with saran wrap to protect it from dirt and shit. It looks a lil ghetto (but really, who looks at ur coils), but my mechanic said he's done that on his cars and never had his coils seize up.

Luckily, my KW's dont freeze

yeah i bought them like that and was able to get 3 of the 4 unfrozen. Yeah i never neglect my stuff. I lubed up the threads with a lot of the anti seize and greased them and ran the colars up and down a few times to clean the treads more.

never heard of the saran wrap though, ill have to do that in a few weeks when i clean them from winter. thanks for the tip!

i got the pics of the evo R5's coming

Are those available in any different colors? I think those would be good in a flat/matte black

As some may know these (Work Wheels not Hartmann reps) are Japanese wheels, ultra light weight, primarily used for motorsports and racing teams, thus no centercap. These wheels do not bolt on to any vw/audi hubs. The Work Wheels are purchased through Stasis engineering, a secondary machining operation is needed to fit them to the vw/audi hubs. This wheel design has been around for years and thus many companies have copied them and made different bolt patterns to adapt to a variety of vehicles. They come in a couple of finishes now days (gunmetal, bronze, chrome, white). The ones in your Pchop look bronze.

Just use duct tape with lithium or another grease. The rally car guys have been doing this for years and their driving environment are much tougher then the normal street car.

Here is the link with more info.

$166 per wheel for 18x8. They are on the heavy side thought ~24lbs

http://www.tenzoracingsports.com/main.php?page=wheels

the tenzo's that i posted first (black) weigh about 20lbs each for 18x8 and run $220 each

the enkei are $167 a wheel and about 24lbs each for 18x8

if i go with the enkei i would for sure paint the lowers and get gunmetal
but if i go with the tenzo's i would most likely get black and might keep it unpainted lowers??
