I have the infamous tear in my drivers seat bolster. I figured now is the time to start researching aftermarket seats.

The questions:

What brand/model?

Where'd you get it?

How much?

How do you like it?

How did you mount your 4pt/5pt harness?

Corbeau A4 (non-lumbar). I would pay the money for the lumbar if I had a choice.
Picked up used from a CRX driver on Craigslist for $300.

I never installed them in my car. They were in the Vette for a bit, roommate didn't like them, I did.

I've sat in a few of the Sparco Pro2000's, not very comfy for a street car. Very effective and well suited for a track car.

Corbeau LG1s in Black Suede with Corbeau 3pt harnesses, got them through sponsorship

i love the seats, they fit me well and have good support for long drives. The bolsters are high on the sides, so they hold me in the seat during spirited driving.

There are a bunch of clones on ebay... The problem is the cloth material or leather material is cheap..

Where'd you get it? Carlisle Import car show years ago

How do you like it? Loved them. Would be in my Audi if I could have brought myself to replace my perfectly working seats with non-heated seats. Great feel & fit (as long as you're not fat) and I used to use my car for 2+ hour trips all the time and they felt great. Also, the side lumbar is what I will miss the most. The stock A4 seats have noting on these (except they are heated).

How did you mount your 4pt/5pt harness? Used a 3 point harness and mounted to the rear seat mounts in my old Civic

Corbeau's website (http://www.corbeau.com/products/reclining_seats/a4/).

I still have one (was in the basement during the house fire). It's in the shed now, but apparently a mouse decided it needed the seat covering more than I did, so it needs some love (re-cover).

I wonder what they would charge to ship these. might be free shipping. they look good dan. Get it fixed and in your car ASAP. then bring it to MWVF.

I keep saying I'm going to. It couldn't hurt to add just one seat in, it's already a bit ricey.

I just don't want to drop the $$ on the harness, brackets, etc.

I've seen a harness at pepboys with an actual rating for like $50.....actually looked pretty decent.

But the real question is was it approved for racing?

I'll bet it was for "show only".

Honestly, I don't remember, but it did have a DOT approved marking on it. I'm looking for them, can't find them. They started with an "N" if I remember and were the twist ratchet kind and didn't have any ricer words on them. They looked surprisingly good lol.

We can't use 4 point harnesses at the tracks around here (Grattan & Gingerman). Stock 3 point or a 5/6point harness only.

There is a company that will make brackets for any seats. You just give them the dimensions of where the mounting holes are under the seat and they custom make the bracket to fit your model car.

I have to look up the name but its kinda expensive and took forever to get them

i run sparco millanos in black alcantara. love them, have had them for around 5 yrs. thee is very little wear overall on the seats. unfortunatly the drivers side lower bolster has a small wear hole in it from enter and exiting the car. easy fix. prop for sale soon. im feeling the need for some recaro goodness.

Plenty of cam harness kits that are pretty cheap in price and approved for racing. I just picked up a set of Impact Racing harness with cam lock from Summit which has them down to under $100 a set for ones that mount to a roll bar.

What my new set looks like.

As for seats, I have Cobra Suzuka non adjustable race seats. Have had them for nearly 8 years and still love them even though they are now getting a little tight lol.

No one rides in my car at the track, but the other seat does have a stock seat belt just in case someone does want to get in. No reason to have a harness on that side, dont want anyone getting in feeling too safe.[;)] lol. I might have to put a harness on that side seeing that the car now has a full cage, dont want anyone smacking the cage with a stock seat belt on.

I would pull the other seat out but since I run in the "street" tuner class the rules state I must have 2 matching seats. Same reason I still have electric glass windows in all 4 doors and carpet.
