you have to get underneath the car and look. this is what mine looked like when it was torn. this is the inner boot

my inner boot broke also, just replace it, not expensive. It's an easy do it yourself job, I did mine yesterday

If it has been that long and the boot is gone then you should look into a new CV not just a boot. When it makes noise that means the joint is going bad. Looks up raxles for a replacement

Advanced auto can get us new assemblies for about $70. I just bought a new one since the boot itself was $50. I've replaced my boots once already. I blame it on low ride height and the winter snow. I hit a lot of snow.

Dont change out your the stock axle for and aftermarket one. They are no where close to being the same quality!!!! Just buy and outer cv joint kit. Theres a reason why an Audi axle is 500+ and an aftermarket one is cheap as fuk. Trust me on this I have never ever seen an audi axle brake but multiple aftermarket ones.

Yeah Joe exactly what mine looks like but I guess its worth just changing out the whole assembly for 75 bucks .. No more headaches

Thanks guys appreciate all the help
