View Full Version : B7 RS4 Reps - VMR or Hartmann
Teets

Maybe this has been covered before, but which brand do people prefer when it comes to VMR and Hartmann B7 RS4 replicas for the B6. Anyone have any direct comparison pics? Or if I missed the thread in search, can anyone point me to that thread?
I'm looking at differences in weight, strength, concavity, and quality above all others.
Thanks,
NICK

VMR RS4 replicas have a lot more concavity to them, and there apparently have been issues on the quality of Hartmann's.
i just bought some alloy r us RS4's and i think they look great, and they were a fair bit cheaper

If there's threads about any quality issues on Hartmann wheels please bring them to my attention as I would like to address any concerns as soon as possible.
To the OP, weight on the Hartmanns is 26.30Lbs on the 18" and 27.60Lbs on the 19", strength is comparable to OEM, concavity is good though I do admit VMRs wheels are a bit more concave, and quality is top notch IMO. Hartmann wheels are sold to many shops such as Discount Tire / Americas Tire as well as various tuner shops around the world, and Audi dealerships so they have to measure up to high expectations.

I cant speak on behalf of other manufacturers but ill go ahead and throw out some information on our wheels.

19x8.5 +38 VMR V708's - 27.5lbs
Both fitments fit on B5-B8 A4/S4's without a problem, no spacers, hub centric rings, or aftermarket lug bolts required.

I have OEM RS4 wheels on my A4 and my buddy just got the 18" VMR reps and they are a great reproduction, they manage to capture the concavity very well compared to the original. I was at a meet this weekend and everyone who came up to my car asked how I liked the VMR reps so I guess thats a testiment in itself. The car next to me had 19" Hartmann reps, which are great wheels by themselves, but they dont have the concavity of real RS4's, they have the concavity thats closer to that of the 18" RS4 style wheels you can get on the S4.

Any pics of the 18s on a B6/B7? I've seen plenty of 19s but don't think I've seen the 18s on an actual car.

Thanks. Those look good. I was worried that 18's might look too small, but I think they would look good with a nice drop.

Yeah, I have to admit that the guys over at VMR conduct their business in a professional manner, I respect them for that which is more than I can say for any of the other companies out there selling replica wheels.
I still like the Hartmanns better though [drive]

We typically have them in stock, it's pretty likely that VMR does as well I'm sure
