View Full Version : Thoughts on keeping OEM wheels?

So, I have VMR RS4 wheels on my 04 USP. I have all the USP 18in OEM wheels, including the 5th full spare, and I am wondering whether I should keep them or just sell them off. Some buddies of mine say to get some track tires for them and swith them out for track events but I will do one a year if that. Any other good reasons to hold on to these?

if you went up 1 inch diam, but down to low prof - or same tire/wheel size at least keep the spare so you can get out of trouble if you have a flat (same rolling diameter).
I'm keeping mine, but i have no idea why...

Get a set of 19" VMR V710's in GM or MB for daily and track those 18" V708's! [:D]

sell the USP wheels
sell the RS4 reps (they look good on B7, but aren't right for B6...they're curvy and smoothe like the B7, whereas the B6 is sharp, straight edged and angular.
Get a set of the S4 stock B6 wheels. 18" Avus (x8.0)
They look PERFECT on the B6. Chunky and sharp. They actually look bigger than 18" on the car because of the design.
