So i opened my ECU today and come to find i have an xilinx chip ive never heard of them before i searched here and google but couldnt find anything really specific. I know its a 1bar chip. Thats about it. I also have a Nuespeed 1bar chip but it feels quicker but it seems to be pushing less boost. can someone please give me some info on this chip. thanks

that's just the name of the actually chip maker not the company who flashed it for you. thats like having the amd chips I think giac uses.

As far as I know, Xilinix makes integrated circuits/processors, not programming for obdII

Doh Beat!

No way to find out - I had a similar case when I got my car. Unless you email every chip MFG and ask if they have chipped your VIN, then there is no way to tell. sorry

You could email or call the mainstream tuning companies and inquire as into what company (computer chip) they use to imbed thier tunes into. If they use XILINX, then ask further details (also inquire if they used that company in the past and have thus changed).

Nice - good to know it's a major. Thought that damn plug-in looked familiar :)

Mine looked like this, nothing on the chip, nothing one the ECU.

No one had a clue.
