Looking at a few A4's online, and some are appealing in terms of pricing while others are more appealing in terms of options.

Which would looks the most reliable?

I like this (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=254183154&dealer_id=54999111&car_year=2005&rdm=1230352931340&num_records=25&model=TL&make3=&systime=&make2=AUDI&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=2004&engine=&keywordsrep=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&keywordsfyc=&certified=&fuel=&body_code=0&only_price=1&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=75&marketZipError=false&model2=A4&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&first_record=26&make=ACURA&color=&keywords_display=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=11731&only_photo=1&advanced=y&end_year=2010&pager.offset=25&transmission=Manual&doors=&max_price=22000&cardist=45&rdpage=thumb) one but must be financed through dealer so I'm not sure what APR they would have.

This one is KINDA nice.. but the tail lights disgust me and it makes me wonder if it was driven by some punk (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=250677325&dealer_id=100052244&car_year=2007&rdm=1230352931340&num_records=25&model=TL&make3=&systime=&make2=AUDI&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=2004&engine=&keywordsrep=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&keywordsfyc=&certified=&fuel=&body_code=0&only_price=1&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=75&marketZipError=false&model2=A4&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&first_record=26&make=ACURA&color=&keywords_display=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=11731&only_photo=1&advanced=y&end_year=2010&pager.offset=25&transmission=Manual&doors=&max_price=22000&cardist=19&rdpage=thumb)kid.

Even considered (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=254681760&dealer_id=55837156&car_year=2005&rdm=1230352931340&num_records=25&model=TL&make3=&systime=&make2=AUDI&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=2004&engine=&keywordsrep=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&keywordsfyc=&certified=&fuel=&body_code=0&only_price=1&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=75&marketZipError=false&model2=A4&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&first_record=26&make=ACURA&color=&keywords_display=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=11731&only_photo=1&advanced=y&end_year=2010&pager.offset=25&transmission=Manual&doors=&max_price=22000&cardist=80&rdpage=thumb)a B6 since they're still nice too. This one has almost DOUBLE the miles on the b7, and they're the same price! [confused]

And this (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=255445795&dealer_id=564521&car_year=2007&rdm=1230352931340&model=TL&num_records=25&systime=&make3=&make2=AUDI&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=2004&keywordsfyc=&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&only_price=1&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=75&marketZipError=false&model2=A4&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&make=ACURA&keywords_display=&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=11731&advanced=y&only_photo=1&end_year=2010&doors=&transmission=Manual&max_price=22000&cardist=67&rdpage=thumb)one

Oh yeah, two of them are out of state vehicles being sold by dealers. How would I go about purchasing it? Would the dealer take care of everything I need? I'd be looking at buying from a New Jersey dealer while I live in New York.

Thanks guys!

If I remember correctly there were tons of A4s available in the greater NY area. I would definitely buy local if possible as you won't feel pressured by yourself to buy since you just traveled so far.

Also as far as both B7s are concerned...

S4 rebadge FTL
4 spoke steering wheel FTL

You can remove the badge though.
You can also remove the tint from the tail lights if you want.

Synopsis: Keep shopping

Keep on shopping my friend, IMO the best simple A4 is quattro 6mt sline.

All other else is rather meaningless, since you can mod it to your liking.

agreed. Keep shopping. Black A4s aren't impossible to find. All you need is quattro, sline and a stickshift

Hmm, I've only seen ONE S-line for sale in the past month or so... :(

I agree on what they are saying above unless you want a different body kit on a non-s then you can buy that on the cheap and swap it out (like Deval/DTM). If you plan on getting a third party warranty since these cars aren't coming from Audi dealers, I would wait for one that is and get it CPO'd. Even if the price is higher you can justify the cost by saying you would have gotten a 2-3k warranty on the cheaper car anyway.

That is very appealing for the tit package, a 6spd, and quattro. But it has 32k in 1.5 years, no color DIS, no lighting package. Great price though for what you get!

Hey guys, what about this (http://www.audiofhuntington.com/VehicleDetails/1117096904)? Only thing is retail value is around 17.5k and they want 24k for it! Do you think I'd be able to talk it down to that price range? I can easily get an 07 with similar/less mileage for the price they're asking.

Not really big on that color interior

Yeah me either, i really hate that interior and I was GOING to settle, but I found two great ones, non s-line, but black/black with low miles! CPO too!

I don't want an S4 because I'm afraid it may have been beat on and I need something super reliable.

Don't settle, find exactly what you want, even if you have to go a little farther or wait a little longer.

i think you should just go to a dealer, find one, and talk to the salesman about it. try to get him down a lot lower, and tell him you found another one and are considering that. be ready to walk away though.

i recently did this and got an 05.5 a4 non s-line with 23k miles on it for $17,200 and he threw in the 50,000 mi warranty and got it CPO'd for me. the thing looks and even smells new inside.

good luck with the search!
