Hey Guys-

I am trying to find a solution to be able to run my Sportec HFC with the
GIAC-X flash and not get a CEL. I have read a few posts of people (VTracer most notably) running one with a test pipe and not getting a CEL. I am wondering if anyone has tried to run one with an HFC and gotten positive results. I am dying to get this thing put on, but don't want to deal with having a CEL pop all the time. It seems like the only 2 options for these things are the product from VAST, or the hand made one from an AZ member. From what I have read, that guy doesn't sell them anymore. Thanks for any information and experience you guys have.

You might want to experiment with some 18mm spark plug defoulers. Drill out the opening to about 1/2" and screw that into the O2 bung that is after the cat. Search around for how people have executed that fix. DIY on e46 forum (http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=486937)

Hey-

Thx for the info, i will give that a try. It seems that if an angle block works for a testpipe, it should work for an HFC. I'll do some more research and talk to VTracer and the folks at VAST to see what they have to say. Thanks for responding.
