Hey guys, i just got some pricing for body work that I need to do to my A4.

1st is the shaved lower door moldings, I have been debating either just replacing them or shaving them.

a) Shave them doing my own work, cutting off the little knobs and grinding them smooth= $400 for the paint and prep (my cousin is a welder so filling the holes is not a problem

b)Have them do the work, $600

c)Buy replacement moldings for around 180-200

2nd I am going to be getting s4 side skirts, an RS4 front bumper and redoing the rear because there is a chip in it

a) Install everything myself and have them paint it $600

b) Have them do the install and paint $950

How do these prices sound. I know these guys do quality work, they are established and I've seen some of their results.

Would you guys recommend just buying the lower moldings or getting them shaved seeing as i am going s4 in the near future. Keep in mind all prices are in Canadian Dollars (monopoly money :P)

Well...Im sure most around here will say these prices are high. Fact is for quality work (which Im assuming this would be)...these prices are right about on point. I would get it done....but do as much of the prep yourself as is possible. I cut and shaved the little nubs on my lower moldings myself....it was cake.

yeah, im probably going to grab a case of beer and go at it with my cousin. Im assuming it wont take more then about an hour all the way around, seems pretty simple.
