Wow those headlights look amazing. I don't have foglights now but i want to get them and retro fit the projectors in them also.

And those breaklights are crazy. Are you looking to blind the person behind you?

I'd love to do some work on my lighting. That setup is ridiculous!

thanks guys!

i had the LED adjusted so they would be slightly brighter than MB or BMW LED setups. it looks bright in that pic due to the camera's exposure. its also to compensate the 20% rear tint i have on the rear window.

oh yeah. only thing not legal is my clear corners. i still have amber stealth auto bulbs tho

thats so pretty.......the s2k beam and the LEDs brake lights [rolleyes]

what projects do you have right now? and do you have any pictures of the different HIDs 1) stock (w/ halogen?) 2) SPP 50w xenorc and 3) s2k (xenorc as well?) alone. The pictures you posted have other cars' HID interferred. I wonder how much better is the xenorc w/ 50w ballast.

I see you're still at it you light freak!

Good stuff.

I really wish I'd held out for the Xenarc before diving into the Philips.

Sweetness.

I think you should edit that... cause anything that does not come from the factory is usually deemed illegal... also considering that you installed driving lights into the fog lights deems it illegal.

Fog lights were made to extend the side to side viewing during weathered conditions. You just made additional lower headlights.

Congrats that you were able to do it.. but dont get pulled over for it.

cheers.

you know what? those pics are in 35w mode. i have a switch in the cabin that lets me toggle between 35w and 50w. with 50w mode, its 40% increase in luminous flux. i hardly use it ;)

s2ks are hard to find. the parts would be expensive and labor i don't think i'd do again. i'm a perfectionist so everything took way too much time.

i used the "max" family of circuits, probably over kill but it works.

there's a few ways. i opted to hot knife it and silicon it back.

if you are just going to clean it, run some 100% isopropyl alcohol if you can find it in the housing and pour our and let dry.

I meant legal in the sense the DOT S2Ks projectors are legal and aimed accordingly. drive my car next to a s2k and its the same.

the housing is a ecode housing so obviously it doesn't have amber corners (so doesn't almost everyone on this forum)

the fogs are aimed as fogs. not driving lights. they have less glare than stock fogs because of the projection and flat cutoff.. The pics lie since i put the camera on the ground.

edited: highly illegal, do not try at home ;-p

would i just let it sit in there for a while? see drivers side headlight had a leak in it so water would get in it and fog it up so now its a lil more foggy looking than my shiney other one. so where would i find this solution? how much does it run? step by step what is the best way to do it?

isopropyl alcohol = rubbing alcohol. CVS sells 91% for around $3.

Although I have never had to clean the inside of my headlight, I'd assume you jsut pour some of the alcohol in, swish it around over the dirtier parts of the lense and pour it out. The remnants will evaporate. If you just have water in there, take the housing out of your car and place it infront of a desk lamp over night. All the water should be gone by the morning.

could you put together some drawings for your rear LED light assembly? I'd love to make one of these.

what exactly did you do with the fog lights? I plan on getting an HID kit for mine, so I'm interested.

thanks!

zodiak is correct. pretty much just swish it in there. and drain it. 91% alcohol is almost pure enough. you can use distilled water if you want but it won't dry as fast.

if it continues to fog up, you have to find out where its leaking. otherwise you'll always get it fogging up and that's no good.

not too much drawings. i just took the housing out, ordered the luxeons, and mounted them on a aluminumey frame. you'll need some basic EE skill since to keep the luxeon's happy you'll have to adjust the circuit accordingly. they are very picky and can burn up fast if the wrong input voltage and current aren't used. luxeon has a data sheet out there that can help.

update: here's the pdf datasheet. i used the red luxeon star O config

i wouldn't go running to cut up your lights if you're not willing to risk messing them up. esp how close the chrome pieces are to the outside housing.

i used a butane powered hot knife from portosol ~$50
