My passenger side rear wheel makes a grinding noise when I am driving. Pretty sure the bearing is gone. Anyone know what bearing I would need?

How hard is this to DIY?

I have a 2001 B5 a4.

Thanks!

its prob your wheel bearing and unless you have a press good luck. Its not to bad to take out but you most likely will need to get it pressed by someone.

Just go to ecstuning.com, put in your car info and search wheel bearing.

Thanks!

Looks like this is the part:

Ruville - Rear Wheel Bearing Kit-One Side Only ES#1488

Anyone have any experience with this?

Yeah those are the right ones. I got my front bearings for ECS a few months back and they have been great so far. They usually sell pretty quality stuff so you shouldn't have to worry. I replaced both my fronts at the same time even though just the one was bad, Might as well.

OK, just ordered it! Any idea on how much it should cost to get this replaced at a shop?

Honestly I can't remember what it cost me to have my fronts replaced. I think the backs are easier so probably cheaper. I'll dig the receipt out later tonight and post back.
