ive been driving for 3 years without one, just keep it in the car under the seat or something in case. The only time i was hassled was when i got stopped in NY for my tint and had to go to the DMV in Hamlen for the ticket they gave me shit then, but that's all.
i see the ricers pulled over all the time for that plate in the front window shit or no plate at all. it really depends on how your car looks in CT thats what ive learned. you can have a ton of illegal shit on a respectable car and never get shit but have a car that stands out like some jdm crap and get pulled over every day like when i had my wrx.

i live in ct and i've had no front plate for about a year. i got stopped once for something else and the cop noticed no front plate and gave me a like $85 ticket or something. it was such a joke.

I'm in CT and been thinking about the filler plate, glad to know nobody has had many problems.

it also depends where you are driving... i had a blazer for 3 years when i went to uconn. never had problems anywhere else in the state, but on campus those cops look for any reason to stop you.
but i think the general rule of thumb in CT is... don't give them a REAL reason to nab you and they'll leave you alone.

swift is a joke. that place sucks. i dont run a front plate but i keep it in the glove box so if i do get pulled over i can just toss it up on the dash. i dont have a front plate on any of my vehicles ever... no problems

as long as it's a decent car the cops shouldn't care. My friend doesn't have one on his M6, 612 Scaglietti, or MDX and has never gotten hassled for it. If your car is sketchy looking though, the cops might use that as an excuse to pull you over.

my cousin didnt have a front plate on her jti (gti w. jetta front for those who arent as familiar with vdubs) and never got stopped..she got stopped in ny but the cop realized she had ct plates and didnt give her a ticket...and some kid i saw with an r32 didnt have a front plate and in the same lot cops gave my friend with a e90 m3 a ticket for no front ny plate but couldnt to the r32 cause he had a ct plate...so based on this i wouldnt run a front plate if i had ct plates but sadly i have ny lol hope these experiences help
I haven't had a front plate in my entire 20 years of driving. Never been stopped for it. I actually just went through a random state police stop on an entrance ramp this morning and nothing...

I had never had a problem in 10 years until last month i got stopped by a random cop on a highway on ramp for no plate he didnt give me a ticket for the plate he gave me a ticket for tint. i told him i had hit a deer and i had just gotten my car out of the body shop and the mount was on order. he asked me where the other plate was and i told him it was in the back, i keep it in the spare tire well, he seemed fine with that.

ive got acouple friends in CT that run no plates and they havent got any shit about it. I live in MA and they seem to always get me the day after i remove my plate, so i bent the edges of my plate and customized an audizine plateframe so that it would fit perfectly into my lower grille without looking illegal.

I haven't had a front plate on my Avant since I bought it. I was living in NH at the time and never had a front plate up there. When I moved to CT 4 years ago I decided to keep the front plate off the car. No issues what-so-ever and I've traveled all over the east coast and northeast.

I have been running the europlate and filler for almost 2 years without a problem, but I do have FL tags. But I have not been hassled about it at all.
