View Full Version : Painting Lowers *Don't flame me!*

Alright, so going to do it pretty soon...Picked up two large cans of Duplicolor Radiant silver. That's all they had. How many should I expect to use? Also, as for preperation, I know you wet sand, but on the sides, the rubbery parts attached to the door, do you sand those as well?

Any last tips or tricks for me?

Alright i'm getting mine painted at the bodyshop and they say that since the sides are made of rubber, the paint will come off quickly so they dont guarantee anything on the sides. What do u guys think about this

So, just leave them that awful black? Just do both the bumpers? Is there anything I can do for the sides?

flex agent, lots of it. it'll help with the paint on the rubber.

Thats gonna be alot of flex agent I don't know if you could call it paint. Have you ever seen those spoiler that are kinda foam and rubber at the same time. If those can be painted so can your sides.

Bulldog adhesion promoter and a flexing agent will make them paintable.
