View Full Version : question on harsh ride

Recently replaced my front control arms a week ago...
Everything feels tight and all...
One thing I notice is that I can feel more of the bumps and imperfections in the roads...

I've been driving around with clunking noises for more than half year, and finally saved up and got control arms, hoping it would fix all the front end noises...

Other than being just harsh, there's also a slight lost in control (tracking at times)...and bounciness....
What would be the causes of these??
Do I need new shocks?? I'm stil on my stock ones, and have almost 170K kms...

Paid: $900 CAD for all 8 arms.
Had TR's done around the same time.

Wouldn't wheel bearings make more noise, instead of making the ride less confortable?

But, how come it didn't feel as harsh when my control arms were clunkin and loose..>?

wheel bearing makes a noise and also gives wabbling...
if you feel the constant wabbling, there is a chance..

not much noise...or wabbling...
more like really stiff and bouncy ride?

my dealer last month replaced my lower front control arms under warranty. Apparently the parts were faulty b/c the steering was still a bit loose, and I still had clunk issues....maybe poor installation too. They went ahead and replaced the same parts once again...problem solved.
