where in ca are you?

evoms will provide very minimal gains, but will give your car a better sound! it will make your dv more audible (either hit or miss), so that is a plus.

Is it wroth the money? That is to the end user, you get a pretty good heat shield, which is vital in the engine bay, but at the end its a cone filter and heatsheild. Would I buy it, yes! I had it and loved it...just didnt pay retail.

Get one off ebay or classifieds or if you are anal about buying used things, it is worth it if you into a better sound and small gain.

else just go and make your own, and fab up some heat shield, search for Phrost he made a great one

if your going for sound, you could easily just stick a filter on the end of your maf and get a aftermarket dv to get your phsssssss sound. If you want performance, look elsewhere cause the intake really doesn't produce any gains and if it does i've yet to see a dyno proving it.

You can easily save that 300 and put it toward a chip which is the best bang for the buck.

What intake is worth the money we pay for without fabricating our own?

I got it and its good. You just gotta beef up the heatshield because the one they give you simply won't cut it. Also, It comes with this venturi thing which helps with gains.

it's just a piece of metal. With gaps in it. It's pretty much useless.

The Evoms intake pipe has a velocity stack, which is basically a smooth curved entry surface for the air, where the cone connects to the intake pipe, which is proven to increase flow, but I dunno what kind of actual gains you'll get, if any. Our stock intakes are said to be good already, and it only pulls outside air (no air from within the engine bay), so the air is much cooler. I always thought CAIs has always been some sort of snorkel or intake pipe redirect that pulls large quantities of colder air, from a position not originating inside the engine bay.

I'd buy one if it was $200. $300 is just too much.
