I have a ecu that i bought off of branCKY3. His ecu was re-tuned from a ko4 to one for an elim gt2871 setup. I was wondering if it is still ok to run this ecu with a setup that is a duel bb gt2860rs non elim.

Its for a k04, not a 2860rs, what makes you think thats a good idea? (its not)

Yes, the car will run, and if you have to run that ecu either use a manual boost controller to turn boost all the way down, or just don't boost. Could go boom if you do!

Just vagcom it and check our A/F ratios. If they are off change em with lemiworks.

Just seeing if the ecu was ok to use with a full setup

I remember it working pretty well for him.....and to those who don't KNOW this, I believe it is an me7 tune from a 2001.5 CH-box ecu (iirc)....and I believe he used Lemmiwinks to alter the file to high newer hardware (which is very possible if you know what ur doing, and he DID).....so, don't tell the guy its a bad idea if you don't know what ur talking about....ur not doing anybody any favors

But definitely run some logs, and post up your results, and we'll see if we can help you get it running even better (and by "we," i mean someone who knows how to use it better than I do, lol)

well the setup isnt on the car and didnt know if its worth it to finish the setup or just sell it and get a elim kit.

It should work just fine with a full turbo

Dustin, you and more than likely use that ecu for your 2860. Just do as others have said and take some logs to watch the a/r and make sure you stay in the green before going balls out.

^ Better believe it about the 12's! My old car was tuned to run rich, since I wanted it safe. Honestly with some suspension and mounts that car could have gone mid 12's easy... wheel hop and the weight transfer absolutely killed 1st / 2nd gear.

This past thursday was the 1 year anniversary of my Audi's demise. :(
