Hey,
I finally managed to snap some pics of the car. I've been on this site for a few weeks now. I'm loving the car, and i'm learning tons on this site. Thanks to everyone for helping me out with all of the questions. I also snapped some pics of my friend's AMG C32

Thanks, I went from an ibis white titanium package to this. i didn't love it at first, but it's really grown on me.
Very nice! great photography skills too. Grats on the car.

Nice looking car! Always nice to welcome another Brilliant Red in Northern Virginia. It looks like you have some skills with a camera (except for the few times you lost touch with the horizon, don't really like those angles). I have a Nikon D40x that I've gotten decent with, but we'll have to get together for a shoot sometime and you can teach me some stuff.

What happened to the Ibis White titanium package? Accident?
i found out that the car was not quattro after purchasing the car.
the dealer told me that it was quattro, there was a quattro badge on the back of the car, but after 1 drive in heavy rainfall, i could tell that there was something wrong. i was slipping around way too much. at first, i thought it was the crappy tires on the car, but when i looked under the car, there was no diff or driveshaft.
The dealership was cooperative, apologetic for the mistake and let me trade in the non-quattro for a quattro. same price, and even gave me 1000 bucks cash back. i made sure to check under the car this time.

I have a Nikon D40x that I've gotten decent with, but we'll have to get together for a shoot sometime and you can teach me some stuff.
i was borrowing my friend's nikon for the shoot. i believe it was also a d40. i had no idea how to use it, as i'm more familiar with canon cameras. i couldn't figure out how to change focal points, or anything else for that matter. i also left my regular glasses at home, so i had to shoot with my sunglasses on, which made leveling a little bit of a pain. thank god for the big screen on the nikon. it's really a great camera.

i didn't love it at first, but it's really grown on me.
Same here. Red wasnt my first choice but it had everything I wanted (MT, Quattro, etc) and now the colors grown on me. Welcome!

Good to hear you got that mess with your first car cleaned up. I remember reading your post about that. It seems like the dealer made an honest mistake and was good enough to resolve the issue. The red looks clean and one of the more unique color on the 'Zine. The two tone hood on the Benz really throws off the look of the car but otherwise I kind of like it.

Dude, I totally remember your post about the phatnom-quattro - glad to hear you got it resolved! I dig the red, and part of me wishes I had the balls to go red w/ my B7. Then, the sensible side of me that knows I have 2 points on my driving record for the next few years got the best of me. [:D]

I'm definitely down to do a shoot sometime. Now would be a great time with all the fall colors for a background. Do you remember a guy named Mike Keith? He said he recognized your name and your IS300 from the EBC(?) forum that apparently fizzled out a few years ago. He drives a yellow 20th anniversary GTI...

yeah man, once i can find a free weekend (probably sometime in november) we should try to get together and get some pics done.
i absolutely remember mike keith. it's been a while since i've talked to that guy. ECE (EastCoastEuro) has since been abolished. it then kindof spawned into EuroModder, which then got turned into Absolutely Driven (www.absolutelydriven.com)
