well i duno if anyone remembers but my cat got to hot im guessing and disconected itself but cant be put back on really...so i took it to the dealer ship an they tried telling me that they need to replace the whole exhaust system because who ever put my exhaust on that i have (custom borla) weldded it an the audi place doesnt weld they juss bolt on exhaust parts

so i said alright how much will a new cat be and they say 1000
well thats bull an theres no way im spending that much on a cat

i was wondering if anyone knows of any sites that sell cats for my car .....ive been on ecstuning but theres say that "This particular "cat" is not legal for 1996 & up California cars. "
so i cant use that one

thanks

i bet you don't even need a new cat. A good shop (never take your car to the dealership, especially if you have "custom" work) can weld it right back on.

that or get one of the high flow cats from summit racing. they still pass emissions.

i could be wrong, but things that are emisions related are replaced for free if its 100,000 miles or less. Its the law. At least that is what I was taught at WyoTech. Its something to check into.

Just go to a muffler shop and have them put in a new cat or even a high flow cat. The high flow will probably run you a couple hundred bucks.
