Thanks man, I live in extreme heat (phoenix) is it worth while to wax down here? or should I just stick to waxing girls?

I've heard good things about Turtle Wax Ice products for interim washing. I use Meguiars 3 step system... for the bigtime washing..does the job... but i need to switch to the clay bar now...

Menzerna, Lusso and Adams products are all really great too. Check out the Detailing Forum for a lot of good info with photos and explanations.

www.properautocare.com sells a lot of great wash/wax/detailing stuff. They also have a lot of great information about how to use the products they sell, and different techniques to use.

Swissvax. Makes you want to eat your car afterwards though, or the wax during! [:p]

For Spring and Summer, i use

Swissvax Shield, its got PTFE (teflon) in it, creating a nice stick free surface, makes cleaning easier. Also it contains a high % of carnuba, so its makes the paint look very deep...only con, it cost me 200 bucks for the jar.

For the fall and winter i strip it down, and use menzernas FMJ...its not a wax so the paint doesn't look at deep and wet, but its a sealent, well suited for the winter here to protect the paint.

Klasse AIO or Menzerna it what i've used. I'm lazy and they will last 3 months or so while a carnuba will last about 30 days. You can always put a carnuba over them though.

cheers! Mike

I've always been a Meguiars whore. Used to use NXT, but it doesn't last for shit and the shine is't too great. Maybe it's the heat down here that causes it not to last long, I don't really know. Gold Class is my favorite. I wax about every two months or so.
