they are a tuning firm out of europe (Austria). Here is there dyno graph for the 2.0t chip...They have a few USA dealers but not sure if others have them here on AZ. looks like they offer 235 hp/ 259 lbs

I know of one guy who has that chip. From what I've heard, the torque curve is a lot flatter than other turning company's.

yeah it seems the HP is higher than APR (91 chip) but the torque is about 15lbs less...

Haha, I'm just f-ing around. I'm wondering what a flat torque curve even feels like while driving though... cause the TQ plateaus relatively high. wouldn't it just feel like a decent amount of TQ all the way through?

I think it would feel more like the stock delivery, just stronger. The problem with most chips is that all the torque is down low, and after 3500 RPM, you're coming off the peak. As you get into the 5-6k RPM, your not that high above the stock torque as the curve is coming down. With O.CT it seems as though it holds that torque longer. I would guess you probably don't boost as high, but you hold that PSI longer....???

the graph looks like what the A4 should have been tuned to from the factory. the curves look smooth, although the torque leaves more to be desired. it probably drives smooth though, if i had to guess from the graph.

O.CT is a well respected company. Just be advised that their are fewer O.CT dealers around in case you need a flash back to stock and they dont offer integrated stock program switching so you would have to go to an O.CT dealer to do that. I wouldnt consider shipping off my ECU to have it done either. Other, then that they do have a very solid reputation in Europe.

cheers! mike

I had one in my b5 s4, it was a nice chip.

So why don't a lot of other companies produce chips like this (i.e. GIAC, Revo, APR)? Are they simply trying to tune to get the most bang for the buck?

Actually, my APR chip was tuned like that, only it put out more power than the O.CT is advertising. IT has a nice flat torque band just more torque and more hp. Their graph is also artifitially smoothed and represents crank hp and crank Nm of torque. If you add 22% to the following dyno though you see a very flat torque curve with decent power. It'll drop off a bit more up top the more power you try and put out because of the turbos limitations breathing up top but you still see a very flat torque curve...

My car goes in tomorrow afternoon for the O.CT install. Vivid Racing is doing a before and after dyno to track the results! O.CT claims you need a drop in panel filter, which was installed today before the install!!
