Well I just came home from the shop and had my vmr testpipe put in and im loving it. It sounds great, it was exactly what I was looking for I defiantly noticed a better throttle response and alot more torque in the low rpms. All in all I would defiantly recommend this testpipe especially for the price!!

With a test pipe though, a car won't pass emissions, will it?

For $69 shipped for the part, this is so tempting...

I had the software upgrade as soon as the TP was installed.

dont get me wrong, I think a test pipe is a great mod, bang for the buck mod...but I opted to go with a high flow cat..just cause I dont wanna worry about paying someone/removing tp when its time

Good thing is, our car are basically new so we have a few years till we need to smog =D

Post up dyno sheets if you ever have it dyno'd.

Glad you are happy with the test pipe.

I went custom, bungs were still incorporated as well...No check engine light, been about 5k now...I had an upgrade high flow cat...but overall, testpipe is where its at! great lookin product, if i had to go with a non custom pipe, this would be it for shizzle

I cant really enjoy the car much because my OEM dv has a torn seal and I cant run high boost without hitting fuel cut. When I get back from my up comming trip I should have the Forge DV installed.

i installed the vmr test pipe last weekend and its great. no problems but i used the stock nuts instead of the ones they gave me. took me about 4 hours (first time trying) but i got it done with the help of a lift. only thing that worries me are the narks/5o/po po

I don't have to worry about it here in South Florida.

i know it wasnt for me but ill put my cents in. the car smells but unless you have a cranky wife/girl friend its no big deal at all. just a hint of the smell of gas.... pretty much how it should be. :)

what type of advantage would this test pipe provide if you dont upgrade the oem exhaust and cat?

Well with this testpipe you are removing/upgrading the cat, and you should notice a little more throttle response and low end torque increase.

HIf you wrap it/paint it. Or mock up a heat shield it would be a lot less noticeable. I am about to install mine (VMR. woot) this week and will post up pics of the hopefully stealthier appearance.

cops arent going to know most cars have the cats under the car so they will most likely not think anything of it

I tried to install mine this weekend didnt go so good...[headbang]. After about 8 hours of trying to get the test pipe and downpipe out I decided the hell with it and just put on the cat back exhaust I bought. My question is how much did it cost you to get put on???

IF i buy this testpipe how will i get the check engine light to go away. as of know everything in my car is stock.

only way i know of is having software on your car that erases that code. i have revo and after i bought the revo stage II it cleared the code and allowed the car to perform a little smoother. if you have a test pipe, you should have it chipped also.... first thing everyone should do.

just add 2 foulers in their and drill out the center for the o2 and you won't get a cel.
