i swapped in a set of oem projector hid housings (headlight). The foglight is just 3000k hid in the regular foglight housing.

i don't have the sensor for the levelers. I did read that someone had those retroffited too, but it was quite a bit more work and money. I am happy as is, and don't feel like spending another couple of hours under the sun to do anymore work in the near future. The bi-xenon swap and fog install took me 4 hours yesterday under the sun, I was near dehydrated by the time i finished cleaning up.

ohh i hear ya man, its like 110 degrees or more here and i was working on mine, its so difficult. And i would never suggest retroing the sensors, however it would be cool to get yours to do the start-up dance[:D]

why 3000k fogs?
I got 3000k fogs because yellow actually cuts through fogs, and it looks nice. I am not a big fan of "matching everything". I think the yellow sets the car apart

I got the 3000k hid kit from ebay. I don't have it long enough to comment on the reliability yet, but it only cost 80 bucks or so. A word of advise, get 50w hid kits for the fogs, it'd make your life so much easier. If your seller offers it, get a relay kit while you are at it too. The relay kit is 20-30 extra, but it will most likely save you the work of taking everything apart later on when you find that the kit isn't getting enough power to be stable.

Sorry ti burst your bubble, but 3000k doesn't actually cut through fog any better than OEM (4300k/4500k)

I just did some quick search on the web. Turns out that you are right, yellow doesn't work any better than white. Thank you for pointing that out.
I still like the contrast of the yellow anyhow, so i guess it's now just personal preference.

I love the 6000k headlight/3000k fog blue(white)/yellow combo, I had it on my old ride and it got tons of compliments. Well done! I may have to do this soon, can't stand being back w/ halogens, but I just couldn't rationalize the $$ charged for the OEM option....
Also, quick question, does this mod require taking the front bumper off?

Jens is one of our fellow audiziner. His username is "lowestA4" (he replied above, you can pm him if you want). His last set sold for $790, and was sold on the same day that he posted them.
Replacing the headlight housing doesn't REQUIRE taking off the bumper, but it is a bit easier if you take off the bumper. You can find a DIY in the sticky at the top of the b7 a4 forum
