The intake will help the DV won't.

Stock! No point for a forge DV. Waste of money. Get just it replaced under warranty if/when it goes out. I just have mine replaced under warranty $0 cost. I will not be "upgrading" my DV cause there is no point

All you need is an intake (even a $20 K&N filter like me) and you'll get the sound you want. I have some video footage from when I was making dump tube videos, I'll post up if there is any good audio.
