I noticed today my drivers side power window rolls down fine, but rolls up hella slow...and when I hit any of the window switches at a cold idle, my vacuum and rpms drop from 1k to 900 for a couple seconds. haha, any explanation?

I believe its because your putting a load on the car when you roll down the windows, sort of a power surge if you will..... you may also notice this when you turn on the AC, fan, etc. I have seen this in every one of our cars that I've been in.

GM cars link the alternator field strength in the idle loop. Not saying GM has it all figured out but they are magicians when it comes to smart autotronics.

is it slower than normal? if yes i suspect to the power window motor.

if only one window is slow, then its probably the regulator on the way out. If its all the windows then have your alternator checked out.

Try greasing the channels where the window goes up and down with silicon lubricant or another spray lubricant. That may help.

It is perfectly normal.
You'll notice more of a change if you do all four windows at once than if you do only one at a time.
Rolling up all the windows at once suddenly draws a bunch more current than normal and it takes the car a second to compensate.
