Water injection uses a high pressure pump and water injector to inject water into the combustion chamber (not directly, see below) . All the after market flashes for the stock turbo seem to peak at around 22psi (give or take a couple psi). If a tuner is too aggressive, the car will start to pull some timing. Under extreme pressure the fuel/air can ignite before the spark plug fires (high pressure = high heat, thus igniting the fuel without spark) - You can imagine what this will do to your engine. The purpose of mixing the water with the air/fuel mixture is to avoid detonation when your turbo is provoding more boost (lowers the temp in the cylinder). The water also cools the air making the air more dense (more dense air = more powa!). Most water injection systems inject the water directly into the intake manifold or the exit of the intercooler. Normally, a temp sensor is installed to only provide water injection when the inlet air temps exceed a given value and the turbo is providing boost beyond a specified PSI.

AEM kit provides 3 different size injector.
is that okay to use 2 different size injectors on 2.7t?
