Just wondering if anyone has done this and what kind should I get? Talking bulbs not full LED tails, unless there are LED tails out???

i havent seen anything like this. I dont think it would be worth it because you would have to install a resistor on each light circuit to make sure there are no "bulb out" warnings.

there was a thread a while back about custom led lights that look like the a6 for our cars. I think some guy in italy made them or something.

not only that, but they are $60 for 2. I don't think it would be worth your time trying something like this. not only is it pricey but then if it doesn't work you have to had resistors, which then get really hot so you have to put it somewhere that can handle heat and not ruin anything!

search, some people have done it you will need resistors or load equalizers for the bulbs as there wattage is less than 12v

Would these need resistors?

Think about this...the 1156 bulb (which I think is used for drls, turn signals, and brake lights) requires 21 watts. Even a high power led bulb with the same 1156 base might require 3W.

So to avoid the bulb-out warnings, you'd have to find a way to drop another ~18W. That's like trying to cram a toaster inside of an 1156 bulb.

Great explanation, thanks. Is there any software way around this?
