Whenever i "gun it" or am at high speeds the cars rpms dies and the car doesnt have any pick up and slows down. A few months ago when i got my chip installed they said my intake manifold flap was mis-firing. Even then my check engine light never came on. I would see my car go from 6th to 4th so i move it to the tip and push it back up but it only works 25-45% of the time. I heard my turbo spooling alot but nothing. sometimes it will pick up throw me in the back of my seat and go but other times its just stays put and whatever mph i am and slowly goes down while my rpms are useless. My check engine light comes on (but not every time) and the dealership keeps saying they dont find anything like that when they scan it. This has happened between 8-20 times now and nothing. Could it be anything else, has anyone else encountered this? Why is the dealer not finding this? [headbang]

also is can't be a blown DV since i still feel the turbo kick it at other time...

Does the same thing happen if you disable your chip program?

high pressure pump? could be loss of power due to inadequate rail pressure

when you go into the dealer, do you switch back to stock mode? If yes, then you could be erasing the code.

Have they checked for cam lobe wear?

Yeah, read the code before you go into the dealership. Find a buddy w/ a OBDII code reader, or a vag-com.

I would not recommend going into the dealership w/ the APR flash active. The stealership will probably freak out and throw you out the door, DJ Jazzy Jeff style from fresh prince.

The next time you get a CEL, get the codes as drexplode suggested then put it in stock mode and take it to the dealer. Tell them the symptoms and give them the CEL codes. Have them check for cam lobe wear and fuel pump issues specifically. They don't check for these issues as part of regular maintenance but they are inherent problems on our cars and the symptoms are what you're describing. I bet you're getting poor gas mileage too...

your maintenance has nothing to do with whether cam lobe wear has been checked. The technicians won't even check that without a check engine light... unless you pay them for the time of labor to check it. Why don't you have them test drive your car and have them watch for that check engine light to pop up? Better yet, find someone with a VAG cable that you can run while you drive.
