View Full Version : Brake Job - Need Help!

I am changing all rotors and pads on my 04 A4 avant. I have read all the DIY and all say the rotor should just come off after the Caliper bracket is removed. There are no bolts remaining on the front rotor and I have no idea why it won't budge. Anyone else experience this? Need help asap please.
i'm doing mine right now too...just knock on it with a hammer

Thanks! I started on the other front wheel and the rotor came right off. I really had to hammer the drivers side rotor off though. let some good frustration out on it. Brakes are done!
what size alan wrech did u use when you change your brake... i got the rotor off, but can't get the caliper off the rotor...

I'm doing the back and they are 8mm hex key 'allen' so I would guess the fronts would be the same.

Yep, just seized on there a bit. It's normal.
