As mentioned, this a brand new feature and there are always issues/bugs with new features. It takes constructive help and feedback from our members to improve such things, so if you can provide some detail and insight into exactly what happened it would be beneficial for us all.

What section were you entering the ad, were you uploading pics, did it give you any error messages, etc? Also what type of computer and browser are you on?

Thank you.

WTF, I was getting pissed off that it kept saying I dont have access to this page when trying to create a thread in engine/performance section. I was getting ready to make this thread but guess I was beat to it. I just did it in wheel section like 5 days ago. When did this new thing go into effect? Guess I need to go read that link now. And why are we changing the way it is done, it was very easy before? [confused]

EDIT: Damn that was a PAIN IN THE ASS to list the item (like 10 steps instead of 1)!!!! Easier to use my ass [headbang] Hope someone actually sees my ad as well since I and im sure many many people werent/arent aware of having to go to another location to find parts.

So is the normal location just going to disappear from the list at the end of the month and you will only have the top Classifieds part to go to, to see anything?

O and this was my "constructive help and feedback" don't know what to tell you to improve it though except leave the old MUCH EASIER TO USE one [:p]

Come on now, there aren't ten steps, there are like three.

The new section is a huge step forward from using a forum/thread for the classifieds. It's better organized and far easier to search. This helps eliminate the back and forth banter and thread trolls. There's also a buy-it-now feature. All of this should make for parts sold faster.

And yes, the old forum based classifieds will be going away come August 1st. We'll probably still keep the link to the new Classifieds Section where it is currently, for awhile anyway.

Once you're used to buying and selling from the new section, you'll learn to love it and despise using a forum/thread to try and sell a part.

Anthony..

I was listing a car and got to the third step where all the info was entered. Pictures seemed to upload without any issues and it was only until I clicked Next or publish I cant remember. it would take me back to step 2 where it asked what I was publishing from the drop down menu ie; cars, parts, misc for sale.

I will try it again here shortly I just ran out of patience after entering the info so many time and it not working.

If it's still giving you trouble, please try submitting an ad without any photos (they can be added later). Let me know what happens please.

im starting to like it now, I think I was just aggravated that I had to learn something new and it wasn't something I was accustomed to.

Good to hear. We'll be continually working to make it better as well. It will also be nice when the old forum-based version is gone, will hopefully be less confusing.

Okay...got it. It's working now. I think what was happening is the file was too large and instead of letting me know that, it just throws you back to the first step. So if anyone has that same issue...resize the pics.

Yes that's what we've deduced the issue to be as well. Glad to hear we're on the same page.
