windshield problem

my windshield has a perfectly balanced mix of sparkles across the entire thing. guys in the b5 forum said this wasnt factory and seems that it might of gotten blasted with sand in its life down the highway.

anyway to get this out? i've ran my hand across the inside and out (thinking maybe something inside got to it) and there doesnt feel like any pits, etc.

any way to get this off? i cleaned my windshield last night with invisible glass, its spotless, except this sparkle

can i use fine steel wool? i got to really looking at it and it def looks like very very tiny pits.

All those speckles are from highway debris (ie dirt trucks). As suggested, you would have to have it buffed out with a glass polish like our 1Z Glas Polish and a rotary at 1200-1500 RPMs with a fine wool pad.

Applying with a DA, minimum of speed 6, Glas Polish and a coarse cutting pad may help.

Oops! [headbang]... Sorry for the mistake. It was literally removed from our online catalogue this morning due to it being discontinued because of stricter environmental regulations. lol. so what you're saying is your product is some heavy duty sh*t that'll buff glass as smooth as a baby's ass and as clean as a brand new mirror! It's cool, CA has some crazy standards.. just was confused whether or not it was out of stock or somethin

Yeah, you could say that :) The abrasives in it are specifically abrasive enough for glass - this doesn't mean that it's super abrasive, just that the abrasives are the right density and qty by volume. It should not be used on clear plastic.

California and the other regulatory states want to classify any glass polish under the same regulation standard as glass cleaner. Glass cleaners must be no more than 3% VOCs which basically means 97% water and 3% cleaners.

Well, you and I know that a glass polish is nothing like a glass cleaner. It's like clasifying paint polish in the same category as a quick detailer which also has to be no more than 3% VOCs. Yes, they both clean the same surface but used for two totally different things.

It's frustrating to say the least because it's a very effective product.... [rolleyes].
