I got my car tinted, not the audi but the silvia, and the guys there said to use CLR to get rid of the water stains on my glass. Anyone every try this or vinegar?

Those 'water stains' are dried up minerals/dirt that etch into th. They can be removed with a 50/50 mix of vinager and water. If that doesn't work, try some cleaner wax. If that doesnt work...glass polish.

Or save yourself some time and use Windex plus the finest grade steel wool you can find. Then when you get the water spots off, wax your windows. And yes, I've done this on the last 10 vehicles I've owned including my Audi.

How fine does steel wool go? And what type of wax did you use?

It's almost like using clay bar. Actually, that can sometimes work, too. Spray lots of glass cleaner on the window and lightly "buff" the acid marks out.
I use the exact same wax I use on my car. I re-wax my windows every time I wax my car, too. Works better than Rain-X and last longer (as long as you bought decent wax).

I'll have to give the clay/stoner cleaner a shot.. I don't know what else to do. I'm sure its more than hard water stains, there's probably sap (previous CT owner) and overspray (from the detail trying to resell) on it too.. I've mulled getting a new windshield already lol
