Hi, I just refinished my headlights. Sanded with 380/800/1500/2000 then polished it out with Meguiars PlasticX using the mother's powerball. The headlight looks great head on but when you turn on the light or look at it at an angle upi cam see many minor surface scratches. The surface feels very smooth when i run my hand on it. Is there a better plastic polish to get rid of the scratches? Perhaps a 2 stage one, rather than an all in one cleaner and polish.

Anyone ever use the Diamondite or 3M or Wolfgang plastic polishes??

No need for any different polishes, PlastX is very good...its not the polishes fault in this case. The cordless drill doesnt spin fast enough to generate the heat needed to break down the polish.

When polishing headlights or taillights...highly recommended to use a rotary polisher since it can generate alot of heat and spin much faster.

Borrow a rotary polished or an Orbital Polisher.
