With the MMI rebooting itself I've going to see if I can have the new MMI software installed.
Dealer has the update but Audi has asked that they don't install it. I've also heard that there is another release of it available.
Thre is also a question of what else needs updateing, some have sugested the Nav DVD, MMI, + a control module need updating.
I'm in two minds about the update, one says if it fixes the issues I have it's good, the other worries about what other isues it might bring since there's several updates floating around.
MMI is comming to the A6, and other have simlar concepts (i.e. iDrive). Kind of have to wonder if we are really moving forward with better more reliable systems.
Guess there's a limit on how many switches you can find places for so I think as long as we want more features every year, MMI's going to be here to stay.
