[confused]
I have a BEEFY sway bar left over from my twin turbo 3S.
For shits and giggles, I checked fitment this morning, and aside from bending each bar end (the flat spot on the ends where the link bolts to) about 3-4 degrees inward, it is an excellent fit!
Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions?
Now here's a question for those of you with experience with the Hotchkis sway bars for these cars...
there is some sort of bracket/device that ties into the frame, right? WHAT exactly is it, what does it look like, and what does it do? I was told by three different sources that tying into the frame is paramount when upgrading rear sway bars. true or horseshit?
BTW, if this works (and works as well as I think it will) this will be a GREAT low-dough mod for us as these sway bars can be picked up very inexpensively (or free) and the modification can be made with nothing more than a vice and a drilling hammer. new poly bushings are commonly available, -it's just the "frame tie in" device that I need sorted out, and then I'll be giving it a try and posting up the results.
