Opened my trunk yesterday (been raining for a couple of days) and i could hear water moving around in the trunk lid (in between the metal) moving. The trunk also smelled a little bit like humidity.
I brought it to the dealer and they're looking into it
Any of you guys experience this?
Thanks

If it was a VW I would say the drains on your sunroof were plugged and water was backing up in to the spare well.
This is *probably* the cause.

I'll bet it is your trunk seals. When it is dry, back the car out and water the truck. Just run the water all around it for a while and see if it build up in the trunk. You also can look for any cuts or pinches in the seals where it may let water in.
If you have a garage, you can have someone sit inside with a flashlight and slowly run it around the lid, if you see any light from the outside then that is the sot(s).

Larry... when you open your trunk do you have leaves, build up, etc where the lid closes? Check that and make sure it's clean as a whistle...
BTW... Clifton? psshhhhhh we all know you're a brick city boy.

Bumping this up. I had a pool in my spare tire well in my Avant. Anybody had to change those rubber plugs? The seals are clean but they changed my trunk door on warranty last fall, so it could be that. From what ive read, if the sunroof drain are clogged, i should see water mark on the ceiling. Anybody found the exact cause?
