My warranty's up in less than 3 months, and my friend at the dealer warned me that their extended warranty's more expensive than most. So I'm wondering which is the best and cheapest extended warranty to buy? Also, can someone please explain how it all works? With the extended warranty, will I still be getting the 10k service at the dealer?
TIA!

I think the service stops @ 50k and the Audi Certified Warranty is worth every penny (approx $3000) ... I'd get it if I could, you'll be covered til 100,000 and I don't think any third party warranty company can provide you this coverage up to that high of mileage. Plus it keeps up that resell value of your car imo.
fwiw I had a third party extended warranty (can't quite remember who it was) and I'm glad I did... but they were a headache when it came to getting the work done on my cam seals saying it wasn't covered, and this would have been covered by audi no questions asked.

If you are gonna get any extended warranty, I would get Fidelity, it is sold through any Audi dealership and is good at any Audi deaership

sometimes best and cheapest do not go hand in hand

very true. but if my friend gave me that advice, there must be something (at least) cheaper than the dealer that still offers great service.
^ i'll look into fidelity. thanks!

Just found this report:
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/079/ripoff0079844.htm
HOWEVER, the way this warranty from fidelity is written, since the vehicle had more then 6000 miles on it when I purchased it, the warranty began at the production date of the car in 1997!!!!
I know this is just one guy and one report, but is this true? Who really goes through and reads those long contracts anyway?
